PersonalFans

Private · patron-only

Your photo and video folders, presented like a creator feed.

PersonalFans turns the folders on your PC or network share into subscriptions you scroll: feeds, albums, stories, collections and a fast lightbox. Nothing is uploaded. The whole app runs in your browser.

Best in Chrome or Edge 122 or newer, which remember your folders between visits. Firefox and Safari work in session-only mode.

Benefit

  • Every folder becomes a creator profile with a feed, a media grid and stories.
  • Combine several albums into one subscription and hide the shots you don't want in it.
  • Thumbnails are built locally, the lightbox is keyboard-driven, likes and bookmarks live in Collections.
  • Works with local folders and network (SMB) shares alike.

Privacy

  • Files are read straight from your disk or share. Nothing is uploaded, ever.
  • Thumbnails, subscriptions and likes are stored in your browser, never on a server.
  • No analytics, no tracking, no third-party scripts. The page is not even allowed to make network requests.
  • One click in Settings forgets everything the app kept.

Security

  • Patron-only sign-in. Sessions are signed, HttpOnly cookies and the server keeps no records.
  • Folder access goes through your browser's own permission prompt, read-only, revocable any time.
  • Served over HTTPS with strict security headers: a locked-down Content Security Policy, no referrers, no framing.
  • Small and readable: the code is on GitHub.

How to get access

  1. Become a patron. Support the project on Patreon.
  2. Grab the password. The current one is pinned in the patrons-only post. It changes from time to time, and the newest one is always there.
  3. Sign in and add a folder. Use Sign in, enter the password, then pick your first folder. Where a Patreon button is offered, your Patreon account works too.

Updated all week

New features and fixes ship several times a week. There is nothing to install or update: reload the page and you have the latest version. Your folders, subscriptions and settings stay exactly where they are.
